“The South Illustrated” 2013 calendar was designed exclusively for Garden & Gun for our sister company Sideshow Press. Each calendar page is hand pressed on our pony-sized 1926 letterpress. We illustrated each month with a drawing of a southern staple and paired it with a quote by a southern author. The monthly cards are displayed on a wood veneer mounting plaque with a leather strap for hanging. Each calendar set comes packaged in a burlap bag sewn with a letterpress tag. Needless to say, this was such a fun and rewarding project to have the chance to design something for one of our favorite publications. The calendars, as well as many other bespoke items, are available for purchase through the Garden and Gun Store.
