No. 9 Cannon: Before and After

June 16, 2011

Having just celebrated our 2 year anniversary, it reminded us of all that has changed. Before No. 9 Cannon was the studio of Stitch, it was the long time home of Fralix Shoe Repair. Fralix was open for business in Charleston for over 25 years. We happened upon 9 Cannon months before Mr. Fralix was ready to retire. These images were taken in the fall before the summer we moved in (July 1st, 2009). After stripping wall paper, pulling up carpet and many many gallons of white paint, Stitch had a new place to call home. Fralix had some amazing moments happening in the old space that we wish we could have preserved. The shoe shine seats and most importantly the hand painted type on the windows are among our favorites.
