Thanks to everyone who came out a couple of weeks ago to our studio grand opening. Jennifer Hitchcock, our studio assistant, took these beautiful photos. Special thanks to Callie’s Charleston Biscuits for the delicious pimento cheese and Fat Hen for the amazing deviled eggs. And thanks to Sandy Lang for the beautiful copy she helped us put together for the invites. She was the true inspiration for all things Fizzy! All of that goodness paired with fizzy drinks made the evening just right.

Today we launched a new e-commerce site for Library. It was all we could do to keep from buying all the products before she went live! Lauren Lail’s extensive collection of vintage clothing, David Sullivan’s amazing photography and lots of other great images and textures made this site really fun to design.

We were asked this year to design the Call for Entries for the AIGA South Carolina INSHOW. Sandy Lang www.sandylang.net helped concept and wrote the copy. So far we have designed/concepted/written the Call for Entries mailer and website. Designers be on the look out for your Call For Entries “Circular” in the mail this week. Library, a collection of vintage clothing, launched this spring. Library’s branding was inspired by a mix of library ephemera and vintage fashion drawings and photography. Stay tuned for her website that we’ve been working on, scheduled to go live this fall.

We just completed this logo for New York photographer Eve Simone. We supplied Eve with the files and she printed it herself on her very own Gocco Silk Screen. Looks great Eve!

Last week we designed these pieces for The Lee Bros. and Kiawah’s Legends Magazine. Matt & Ted Lee dished up their favorite summer recipes during a cocktail party on Saturday night at the Vanderhorst Mansion on Kiawah Island. The letterpressed invitation, menu, canning label and tags were used throughout the photo shoot. We used seasonal fruit patterns and wood veneer as backers for the pieces to add a little local flavor. Look for the full article this Spring!

We are currently working with Anne Bowen from STEMS, a new flower shop opening up downtown. Her new logo is fun, whimsical and a little unexpected. We are finishing up the stationary package right now – a combination of Letterpress and silkscreen printing processes. We can’t wait to share the finished product.

Over the past several weeks, we’ve been busy packing and purging. We’ll be officially moved in on July 1. There has been lots of activity happening over at No. 9 Cannon over the past several months and we think our new home is shaping up quite nicely. We just could not resist, with a name like CANVAS for a hair salon…a real “hair” brush was just the right solution. We used a mixture of paper colors and textures through out all the pieces to give the salon that eclectic feel that the owners were looking for.
